FAQ’s:
Where are the Natursutten pacifiers made?
All of the Natursutten products are made in Italy by a family-run business; manufacturing rubber baby products for 3 generations. The products are designed and tested in Denmark and comply with strict European standards.
Are the Natursutten products made from sustainable materials?
Yes! Sustainability is a fundamental value to Natursutten. The single-origin, pure, natural rubber sap is produced by a proud member of the Malaysian Rubber Board, and through them Natursutten contributes to maintaining a sustainable industry by replanting rubber trees and investing in research & development towards sustaining the viability of the rubber industry in Malaysia.

My baby has a latex allergy. Can she use the Natursutten products?
Yes, and no. The protein, that on rare occasions can provoke a latex allergy, is removed from the rubber sap used for Natursutten pacifiers. This means that there is no risk of provoking a latex allergy when using them. That said, we would never recommend using a product made from natural rubber for a child with a diagnosed latex allergy.
To what standards are the Natursutten products produced and tested?
All Natursutten products are EN 1400-certified, which means they live up to the European Union (EU) directive for this product area—in terms of safety, health and environment. They are continuously tested by ForbrugerLaboratoriet, the independent, distinguished laboratory in Denmark. They have also been tested in the U.S. (and comply with all standards established by the CPSIA), in Australia where they comply with Australian and New Zealand standards, and towards strict Japanese standards too.
What is the advantage of a one-piece pacifier?
Have a look at a standard pacifier. Does it have a crevice or seam where the nipple and shield come together? Does it have an open access to the nipple? These joints and cracks are where dirt and bacteria love to accumulate and are so difficult to keep clean. Not the case with the Natursutten pacifiers and teething toys! Their one-piece construction means no joints or cracks in sight and a far more hygienic product for baby.
Is it easy to care for? How do I do it?
It’s very easy. Before the first use, just sterilize by immersing the pacifier in boiling water for five minutes. If you use a sterilizer, sterilize for ten minutes. Afterwards, just clean on a daily basis, by washing it in mild liquid soap—or sterilize it by pouring boiling water over it. These products are not dishwasher-safe.
The shield touches my baby’s nose! Why?
The relatively large shield on Natursutten is designed to gently touch your baby’s nose and give her the same secure feeling she experiences during breastfeeding.
How often must a Natursutten product be replaced?
Natursutten products should be replaced every 6 – 8 weeks. There is no harm in using them for longer, but the products will get darker and somewhat sticky if used for longer periods of time.
Why does my pacifier get darker with use?
A Natursutten product will get darker over time because it’s made from 100% natural rubber and contain no chemicals or anti-oxidants to keep it a light orange colour. The process is perfectly natural and to be expected.
