How to Place Your Order

You may place your order in one of two ways:

Online: The FASTEST way to receive your order is by submitting your order ONLINE using our convenient, inventory controlled, automatic shopping cart system. This way you will know exactly what is in stock and ready for immediate shipping. While we do try to maintain stock at all times, on occasion we may run out of an item and in using our shopping cart and checkout system, you will be aware of this immediately. Please don’t despair if you receive an “out of stock” message. Email us your request! We are more than happy to accommodate custom or special orders in any way we can. While we are happy to process your order by email, orders placed through our shopping cart system and paid for through our online merchant account can be processed immediately and will generally ship within 6 business days.

Email: You may email us your order if you are having problems with our shopping cart, or if you are simply more familiar with using email. We will let you know what we have in stock and reserve these items for you. We will then tally your order including taxes (where applicable) and shipping, and email you your total. You may than choose one of our payment methods as listed below. Please do not send your Visa number by email. This is an insecure method. We will telephone you once your order has been received for your credit card details. Please allow 2 extra business days for shipping of orders placed via email.

Orders must be placed online or by email. This is the most efficient and accurate way for us to handle your order. Customers wishing to place an order by phone will be directed to place their order online first, and then we will follow up for payment details, if required.

What happens after I place my order?

We will keep you informed at each stage during the processing of your order. In-stock orders are processed and shipped within 6 business days of payment being received (does not include Saturday, Sundays or South African holidays). If you notice any discrepancies on your order form, please contact us immediately.

1. Once your order has been placed online, you will receive an automatic email immediately confirming your order. This is your receipt and should be retained for your records. It will contain an order number at the top of the email, a detailed list of your order, as well as the shipping and billing details as provided by the purchaser. Please check it over for accuracy and notify us at once if you notice any discrepancies. If you do not receive this email, contact us ASAP. Your email address may have been typed incorrectly or this email may have been filter by a SPAM blocker set on your email program. Hotmail, Yahoo and MSN will routinely block emails as SPAM.
2. As soon as your order has been placed it is sent directly to our shipping department for review. If everything is in stock, and we have all the information required to process your order, your order will be processed, meticulously packed and prepared for shipping. You can expect your order to ship within 6 business days, unless otherwise indicated on our website. If you do not hear from us by phone or via email within 6 business days, your order will be shipping on schedule.
3. If an item is out of stock, or we require further information to process and/or ship your order, you will be contacted within 2 business day. Please check your email frequently for faster processing! If you do not receive an email within 6 business days confirming when your order will ship, nor do you receive a tracking number to confirm that your order has already been processed and shipped (South African orders only), feel free to contact us. Emails do have a tendency to get lost in cyberspace or inadvertently filtered as SPAM. Hotmail, Yahoo and MSN will routinely block emails as SPAM.
4. Once your parcel has been shipped, if a tracking number has been provided, you will be emailed the tracking number. ALL orders shipping within South Africa will have a tracking number emailed to the purchaser. This tracking number will give you an indication as to how long shipping will take to the address indicated. If you do not receive this email within 6 business days, please contact us.
5. When you receive your order, open and check your items over carefully. Keeping in mind the majority of our parcels are fabric in nature, please avoid using sharp objects to open your package to prevent ripping, holes or damages. Double-check sizes carefully, and try on your baby if necessary BEFORE washing. If you notice anything amiss or there are any problems with your order, let us know ASAP so that we can correct any issues you might have. Feel free to review our Return Policy for further details.
6. You can start using your new products! By now you should be thrilled to bits & very satisfied with your online shopping experience and tell everyone you know what a great place The ecoBaby Company is for wonderful, eco-friendly baby necessities. Product Availability

We are an in-stock store! When you add an item to your shopping cart you will be made aware immediately of current availability. The availability information presented on our site is the best, most current information we have, but errors do occur, and this information does not constitute a guarantee or promise of availability.

A message of “more coming soon” or an ETA date (estimated time of arrival) indicates that an item is already on order and is being shipped to us at the present time. Chances are these items will be in stock in a matter of days, or it could be up to 4 weeks (depending on customs). If you are interested in something in particular, please contact us for an estimated time of arrival. In some cases an item may be difficult to keep in stock due to customer demand and we would be willing to hold an item for you for up to two days, pending payment, when it arrives.

A note of a “preorder” indicates that this item has not yet been ordered, but will be any day. This means the item will be in stock again shortly, from 1-4 weeks, depending on the manufacturer and where the items are coming from. Free free to contact us for a better idea of timing before you place your order. By purchasing a preorder you are guaranteed to have the item on hold when our order does arrive, and you will not miss out on an item. This typically occurs with items that we only carry two or three of, and due to popular demand, they sell out once posted to our site.

When a product you have ordered is not available for shipment, we will notify you as quickly as possible. Anticipated delivery dates are dependent upon our suppliers and other factors beyond our control and are subject to change. You order will ship once it has been filled in its entirety. If you require immediate shipment of in-stock items, extra shipping charges may apply.

If you try to add an item to your cart that is out of stock, or low in stock, you will receive an immediate notification of this. Don’t despair! Please contact us and we can let you know when we are expecting more of an item. We are more than willing to accommodate special requests and custom orders!

Methods of Payment/Security

We accept EFT and Visa/Mastercard payments online through our SAFE and SECURE merchant processor (powered by PayFast, a payment service for South Africans and South African websites). All personal information (including your name, email address, street address, phone number, and order history) are encrypted for additional security Sorry, we do not accept personal checks.

Pricing

We believe we offer our customers an excellent value in price, service and quality of merchandise that you won’t find elsewhere. We try hard to give you the best possible prices while maintaining this level of service, value & integrity of our quality products. While we are an online baby store, we still pay for warehouse space, staff and merchandise so that it is available “in stock” for immediate shipping. Fast shipping, a large in-stock selection, and the ability to meet the demands of our customers are just a few of the reasons our customers keep coming back – and we appreciate it!

If you should find another current and comparable print or online catalogue offering of an identical item with a lower regular retail price than ours, feel free to email us with the particulars and it may be possible to match the price. Where possible, we will try our best to accommodate. Simply email us with the following details:

* Lower advertised price must include any applicable shipping and taxes. This applies to authorized dealers only. Price matching is only applicable to identical conditions of sale. The item must be in stock at the other authorized retailer (not a floor sample, “second”, “open box” item, refurbished or demo piece) and not be a special members price or typographical error. About Our Packaging

As we are an environmentally-friendly company, we try to reduce, reuse and recycle when and were we can. As such is the case, wherever possible all outgoing parcels are packed using materials re-cycled in house, reducing the waste we generate and our resource consumption. If you would prefer a new box or package, please let us know in the additional comments box at checkout.

In order to save a tree, we do not include a packing slip or invoice with your order. Your original email confirmation is your receipt. Please save this for your records, should you require an exchange or return in the future.

Our Product Care Guides are printed on 100% recycled paper. If you have received one with a previous order, PLEASE pass it on to someone you feel may benefit from receiving one. Gift Purchases

We are happy to include a Gift Receipt for your order, if the item(s) are to be a gift. This is to facilitate an exchange, if necessary. Please note, an order number or gift receipt number is mandatory for any exchange of merchandise as this is the only indication we have of items purchased from our store. Reading Reviews

We’d like to note that when reading reviews, consider them, but please take them with a grain of salt. In our many years of experience both using and selling products, we’ve learned that certain products are favored by different people for many reasons. It could be based on their own preferences, body type or their baby or children’s needs or desires that a product does or does not work out. Don’t let a negative review discourage you from trying a product that may actually be right for your own family. For every product we carry that one customer “hates” we have many, many more that “love it”, however they may not have the time to leave a glowing review (new babies and children tend to keep you on your toes!). In order for a product to make the ecoBaby cut it must be enjoyed by more than 90% of those that experience the product first hand (our customers and personal testing panel). We simply won’t carry a product that continually receives poor feedback from our customers. Period.

Writing Reviews

Thank you for taking the time to leave a product review! We aim to leave reviews unedited, and will post both positive and negative reviews for the benefit of our customers and to help guide our own purchasing decisions. However, while we would love to publish all reviews, there are a few reasons why our editors may chose to edit or omit a review. We wanted to take this opportunity to explain when this may occur.

• The most common reason that a review may not be published is that it is not descriptive enough for publication. For example, a review that simply states, “Great toy!” is not descriptive enough to assist other customers in their purchasing decisions. To increase the likelihood that your review is published, please include details about what you liked (or didn’t like) about the product being reviewed. For example, what did you specifically like about the product? Do you like the size? The colours? Does your child enjoy playing with the item?
• All reviews will be considered, however negatives reviews in which we cannot verify the details of the original transaction may not be approved. This is not because we don’t want our customers to read negatives reviews (these can actually be quite helpful in making decisions!) however we often receive reviews often from competing brands that are written to simply try and discourage the purchase of their competition. This will not be accepted.
• Negative reviews are welcome, but we are looking for details in each review. If there is mention of poor absorbency, a smaller fit compared to other brands, or a quality issue that is well-described, we are happy to post such a review with the specifics of your issue. Please be as detailed as possible.
• We are looking for reviews of products purchased within the past 12-18 months (the more recent, the more applicable). Products undergo changes and improvements on a continual basis, and a review of a product purchased more than 12 months ago may no longer be applicable to the product we are selling today. To keep our reviews as relevant as possible, please ensure you mention in your review when you purchased your product, if this was more than 12 months ago.
• Business solicitations and/or mention of other stores or brands we do not carry in our store will prevent a review from being posted. You may mention “we purchased another brand elsewhere and much prefer this” vs. naming the brand name or another store, eBay seller or the direct manufacturer. Even if we do carry the competing brand, if your review is negative and you mention an alternate brand to the product (same product, different manufacturer) this may prevent your review from being posted. Please instead leave your negative review on the product you disliked (following the above guidelines about detail) and then leave a positive review for the product you enjoyed. We appreciate your help in keeping our reviews as helpful as possible.
• If there is too much personal information about the author or child, the review will not be published.
• Profanity or inappropriate language will prevent a review from being published.
• Negative reviews that seem out of the ordinary or possibly false (such as a competitor leaving a particularly nasty review) will require verification of purchase from our store, or from a store selling a similar product. We reserve the right to verify the validity of all reviews before posting them on our website.
• If a review does not offer any benefit to our customers looking to purchase a product, it will not be approved. For example, “This product is a good quality, but it’s cheaper to make it yourself”. Our customers are a savvy group and are likely well aware of the option to make or sew items themselves. We offer many money-saving tips for parents that wish to use cloth diapers, and are looking to do so as economically as possible. Making your own baby carrier, cloth diapers, accessories or natural toys is always an option, however this is not something we can generally recommend or endorse for the safety of your baby or child. To make recommendations about sewing or making your own products, please make use of the numerous forums available online for frugal parents searching for this information.

Specifics with regards to reviews about cloth nappies: Our goal is to help parents new to cloth diapering consider cloth diapers as an alternative to disposable diapers. While not all cloth diaper reviews need to be positive, we ask that you consider your language carefully before posting a review to our website. By uploading any media like a photo or video, (a) you grant EcoRich Baby Products a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, print, display, reproduce, modify, publish, post, transmit and distribute the media and any material included in the media; and (b) you certify that any person pictured in the submitted media (or, if a minor, his/her parent/legal guardian) authorizes EcoRich Baby Products to use, copy, print, display, reproduce, modify, publish, post, transmit and distribute the media and any material included in such media; and (c) you agree to indemnify EcoRich Baby Products and its affiliates, directors, officers and employees and hold them harmless from any and all claims and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, arising from the media and/or your failure to comply with these the terms described in this document.

EcoRich Baby Products reserves the right to remove any media for any reason, at any time, without prior notice, at our sole discretion.

Advertising Policies

1. Booking form & Inventory
Inventory availability must be determined and confirmed by the advertiser prior to submission of the booking form.
The booking form must be completed in full and is binding.
Acceptance of the booking is made either in writing or with the display of the ad on the site.
2. Ad placement & Positioning
The Advertiser will be notified 10 days prior of material changes to the site that may affect size or placement of the ad specified in the booking form. The advertiser may cancel the remainder of the booking.
3. Payment & payment liability
Invoices will be sent to the billing address stipulated by the advertiser.
All bookings are to be pre-paid unless an account has been approved in which case payment must be made 30 days from the date of invoice, unless an accredited media agency, in which case, payment must be made in 45 days.
Failure to pay by the due date shall result in interest being charged at the prime interest rate.
5. Cancellation & Termination
The advertiser may cancel the booking with 60 days prior written notice without penalty, unless it is otherwise stated on the booking form. Bookings terminated with less than 60 days notice, are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
Sponsorships are subject to 12 weeks cancellation notice.
6. Ad materials
Material must be supplied as per specifications on the rate card. Should material not be compliant to specifications or is in any other way deemed unsuitable, it is the sole discretion of EcoRich Baby Products to reject or remove material.
